A public index of global crude · Settled on Solana
OIF tracks the world's five leading oil benchmarks and publishes a single composite reading on a public ledger — open to every holder, readable by anyone, at any hour.

Our mandate
Oil prices are set on desks most people never see. The Oil Index Fund exists to bring that picture into public view: a single composite index of global crude, published on Solana, readable by anyone at any hour.
Index composition
The composite is weighted across five crude benchmarks spanning the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Weights are illustrative of the program design.
Methodology
Crude is produced and graded by density and sulfur content.
Barrels are traded at hubs such as Cushing and the North Sea.
Exchanges publish settlement prices for each benchmark.
OIF weights the five benchmarks into one composite reading.
Energy market record
From the demand shock of 2020 to the supply pressures of 2022, the slide of 2025 and the 2026 rebound, the WTI benchmark records a market in motion.

Domestic production
Eight regions account for the overwhelming share of U.S. crude output. Explore the map to see how production is distributed from the Permian Basin to the Arctic slope.

Market intelligence
Output targets set by OPEC+ and national producers shift global supply overnight.
Weekly U.S. stockpile reports signal whether the market is tight or oversupplied.
Shipping lanes, sanctions and conflict near producing regions add a risk premium.
Crude is priced in dollars. A stronger dollar tends to weigh on prices abroad.
Maintenance seasons and refining margins change how much crude is bought.
Summer driving and winter heating move demand for gasoline and distillates.
Research brief · 01
Concept only · Not an OIF offeringOil ETFs connect brokerage accounts to energy markets. Tokenization explores another layer: representing legally defined fund interests on a blockchain, with a public record of ownership and transfers.
01
Many oil ETFs hold futures rather than physical barrels. Their returns can diverge from spot crude because of rolling contracts, fees and fund structure.
02
In a properly structured offering, a token could represent a defined interest recorded on-chain. Custody, investor eligibility and legal ownership still need to be established.
03
A blockchain could streamline permitted transfers and recordkeeping. Trading access, redemptions and distributions remain subject to the issuer's terms and applicable regulation.
Where OIF stands. This is a research direction, not a claim of asset backing. OIF is a community token, not an ETF or a tokenized fund share. It confers no rights to oil, ETF holdings, dividends or redemption, and its market price does not track crude oil.
